The famous Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas sign was originally built in 1959 at a cost of $4,000 and is located within 4 miles of Deans Place. In 2008 the sign was made safer by having parking and the ability to easily have a picture of this famous Las Vegas landmark. Prior to December 8, 2008, you crossed the street at your own risk. In 2012 an additional $500,000 was added to the previous $400,000 parking facility to add more parking.
